Black Friday<\/b> is coming up and you may be looking for a HDTV deal to replace your old big crappy bloated CRT television. Buying traditional TV was simple; you pick what size and brand you want and that’s it. But with HDTV it’s not that simple and when you have so much information available online, with friends and family, and all other places it gets more complicate.
I would try to list some the important features of HDTVs you should look before you buy. <\/p>\n

  1. 1080p<\/a> native resolution – Look for the HDTVs which has 1080p native resolution regardless of size. With 720P and 1080i you would loss information when watching blu-ray and other 1080p videos. This is a must feature. <\/li>\n
  2. Must have at least three HDMI 1.3<\/b><\/a> connections. This is a must feature. This will allow you to see deep color and lip sync facility. <\/li>\n
  3. LCD w\/ LED-backlit<\/a> –
    \nLED HDTVs tiny light-emitting diodes rather than use conventional cold cathode florescent lamps (CCFL) to illuminate the LCD pixels. Because of backlit LED HDTVs support the local dimming function, it produce plasma-like blacks in scenes with concurrent dark and bright details as opposed to global dimming used in conventional LCD HDTV models. LED HDTVs are also eco-friendly, highly energy efficient and lightweight compare to traditional LCD HDTVs. This is expensive option for now and it’s not must. <\/li>\n
  4. Refresh Frequency: 120Hz<\/a> anything multiple of 24 will be good. You don’t have to worry about pull down\/pull up things. <\/li>\n
  5. Dynamic contrast ratio should be as high as possible. <\/li>\n
  6. Response time should be as low as possible, minimum should be 8ms<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now DLNA, Netflix, YouTube etc. options are good but it’s not must. I would prefer these options through PS3 or other blu-ray players. <\/p>\n
